Activities for the kids to teach them about worship will take place on Friday at 1PM and Saturday at 10 AM and 2 PM. On Friday the children will learn how to make streamers to use in worship. They will be taught the meanings of different colors as it relates to worship. Once the streamers are made, they will be invited to worship with Transformation Michigan. On Saturday the children will have a time of painting and using card stock to co-create their masterpiece with the Creator. They will be encouraged to listen and see what Jesus shows them, then paint or draw what they received. This teaches them to learn to hear from the Lord while bringing creativity and beauty into the worship times at Godstock. Parents are encouraged to participate with their children. Godstock is about relationship, family, and advancing the Kingdom of God. We must have children involved to accomplish this.
New this year: Prayer Fair
An amazing “prayer fair” staffed with qualified prayer servants who will stand with you before God Almighty and present your needs to him. Come expecting God to answer, heal, and encourage you Thursday, August 6 from 6-9; Friday, August 7, from 3-9; and Saturday August 8, from 12 – 9. These are the times we hope to have the tents staffed.

Endorsements
The Lord is doing something special in Michigan. There is a unity coming together and a great force is rising in Michigan that will lead many other states.

I am more than excited about Godstock 2009! Seriously guys, this was one of my favorite events of 2008. It’s incredible to be able to literally get outside our church buildings and be able to allow the message and power of the true message of Jesus to reverberate throughout downtown Grand Rapids. It was amazing to see the atmosphere of revival take hold at an outdoor arena. I had an experience of community, love and power all at once and it was life-changing. Mark and Michele Gurley are some of my favorite people in the world and what they are creating in the spirit over Michigan I believe to be history-making. I really want to encourage everyone to come out and see us this year.
– Craig Kinsley
I want to encourage the visible unity of the Christians who belong to the Kingdom of God in the Grand Rapids area. Coming together in public from across all racial, economic and denominational lines makes the love of Jesus known to others. Standing in worship in the public square for our Living God develops our courage, and compassion for others can be lived out directly in ministry and service. Please consider how you can participate this year in seeking transformation of individuals and the community as a whole at Godstock 2009! Come and see!
– Tim Vink, Church Multiplication Coordinator, RCA
“I believe that The Lord is searching for radical men and women who will believe Him to see cities and Regions come under the Glory of God! These Godstock Gatherings are the direct response to this Mandate. If you are desperate for Revival and Transformation in Grand Rapids, then you need to be a part of these Historic Meetings.”
– James Levesque
History and Vision of Godstock
July 13-18th, 2008 was our first Godstock-Revival at the River event. In response to the Outpouring in Lakeland Florida, we hosted Friday night revival meetings all summer at the outdoor amphitheater – Rosa Parks Circle. We also had a week-long event which took place each evening at Ah-Nab-Awen Park in downtown Grand Rapids titled Godstock. People from all over Michigan came to experience what God was doing. A 5 and a half minute YouTube video can be found here.
The City of Grand Rapids offered us first choice of any park in the city for continued revival events in 2009. Past and Present ministry leaders have already volunteered to return. Our 100+ volunteers are willing to help host another Godstock as well. After months of prayer and some prophetic words, we have decided to take revival outdoors to our city again. Godstock II will be held August 5-8, 2009 at Ah-Nab-Awen Park.
Our Vision is plain and simple, we want atmospheric revival in our region and we want to make Jesus famous in Grand Rapids and the State of Michigan. Based on our time of prayer and some prophetic words, we will change the format of the event this year. Wednesday and Thursday will be evening worship events with teaching, healing and miracles like last year. Friday and Saturday will be from 10 AM to 10 PM with food vendors, from area churches and restaurants, selling food so that lunch and dinner can be enjoyed picnic-style while in an atmosphere of worship. Food will be available for sale or you can bring a picnic lunch yourself. Ministry students will also be encouraged to share and help lead teams into the city for ministry and invite people to come out to the event which will be free to attend. We are working through some details on how to provide “free food” tickets to area homeless shelters so that at least one meal can be provided by the food vendors to the homeless. We had many show up at our outdoor events last year and there were some incredible healing testimonies that happened with them.
This year Transformation Michigan will come and host a 5 hour harp 7 bowl session on Friday afternoon August 7th. These events lead to intercession and declaration for our whole state and region. If you have never been to a Transformation Michigan event, you will not want to miss this one.
We will again be partnering with the West Michigan Prayer Center to lay the ground work with intercession by prayer walking the park grounds before and during the event. They provided great prayer teams last year to pray during the event and for all the speakers, volunteers and security guards. One of the city’s gangs came last year. We increased prayer coverage and security. God’s power deeply touched them and Mark Gurley was invited by the gang to disciple them and teach them how to hear the voice of God.

Please come and invite family, friends, and strangers to experience a touch from God. There were many healings last year and we have been experiencing an increase in the supernatural and miracles. This is a family event that touches all generations. The Lord is bringing Glory to the City and it will impact our state. It will also be a time to take a stand as followers of Jesus. This means that when others oppose what is moral and righteous based on Biblical standards, we will no longer sit silently and allow our freedom to worship God be denied. We will not be ashamed of the Gospel and will speak the truth with uncompromising love.
